George Powell Trust
Public Trust (the Trustee) is the Trustee of the George Powell Trust. The Trust was established through the Estate of George Powell who passed away on 30 April 2003. An Order Approving a Scheme under Part II of the Charitable Trusts Act, 1957 was approved by the High Court on 7 April 2014.
Two scholarships are offered to students of High Schools in the wider Wanganui region to provide assistance for the undertaking of education in the fields of farming, agricultural and horticultural in New Zealand. Preference will be given to disadvantaged youth, whether it be disability, economic, geographic remoteness, or upbringing/family cirumstances.
The value of each scholarship is up to $5,000 per annum for up to 3 years.
Applicants should carefully consider the criteria which may be varied from time to time.

Step 5: What happens next?
