Eileen May Norris Dance Scholarship

Eileen May Norris had a passion for dance. She was heavily involved with dancing and the arts in her local community. She also had a love for music and was a proficient piano player. The Eileen May Norris Dance Scholarships provides an opportunity for Miss Norris to give back to the arts and offer young dancers the means to continue to build on their talents.
Who is eligible?
Those eligible to apply must be demonstrating the actual performance of dance as opposed to choreography and / or the study of dance
How much funding is available? Up to two Scholarships will be awarded. Scholarships will be awarded for one year and be valued between $5,000 and $10,000.
*The “year” can exceed a calendar year.
Application Requirements:
The proposed use of funds cannot solely be used for study (including research). Nor can it be used for a use for which study is the main component. Consideration can only be used for supporting study as long as it relates to the practical aspect of dance and not for theoretical aspects such as the history of dance for instance.

Public Trust is the Trustee for the Eileen May Norris Dance Scholarship Trust (The Trust). The following terms and conditions are applicable to all applications and may be varied from time to time by Public Trust.
All applications are considered by the Scholarship Committee. The decision of the Committee is final and no further discussion will be entertained.

Note: Our preferred format for attachments is PDF, Excel, Word or JPG. Supporting materials cannot exceed 25MB in size, as files exceeding this will not upload.

Note: Once you have submitted your application no further editing or uploading of supporting documents is possible.
Step 5: What happens next?
If you do not receive a confirmation email then your Application has not been successfully submitted (don’t forget to check your spam email folder when looking for the email).
