Applications are open from the 1st of August to the 31st of August (5pm).
The Trust is administered by Public Trust for the financial assistance of charitable purposes organisations and societies and in providing such assistance Public Trust is guided by an independent Advisory Committee established under the terms of the Will of the late A W Parsons. As a result of wishes expressed by the late Mr Parsons the Advisory Committee follows the following general principles:
The Trust makes grants to organisations based or providing services within the area specified above within the area of the Waipukurau District Council east of SH2 and the Makarakeke Stream excluding Waipawa township for the benefit and welfare of youth organisations; education; maintenance, support, relief or benefit of persons in indigent circumstances and unable adequately to maintain and support themselves and their dependents and community charitable projects.
Grants will be considered for either general funds of the applicant, specific projects or capital needs of the applicant. In the case of applications for other than general funds the applicant should give full information covering the specific project or capital expense including not only an estimate of the total cost but also some details of the project or capital item, the purpose it is intended to serve, the method by which the applicant proposes to finance the venture and sufficient other relevant details to enable the committee to make an informed recommendation
Grants will not normally be recommended for:
Applications are only accepted from charitable organisations. Individuals, Schools, Sports organisations and Service clubs are not eligible to apply to the Trust.
Late applications will not be accepted.
Grants are considered by an Advisory Committee and Public Trust’s decision will be advised to each applicant before the 7th of December 2017. The decision of the Trustee is final and no further discussion will be entertained.
Decisions regarding grants made are on the basis of information provided in the application and other enquiries. It is important that the application form be completed in full and that details provided are concise and easy to read. A condition of any grant made is that it be identified a “Public Trust – AW Parsons Trust” in your accounts for the financial year in which the grant is received.

Step 4: Review and submit your Application
Note: Once you have submitted your application no further editing or uploading of supporting documents is possible.
Step 5: What happens next?
If you do not receive a confirmation email then your Application has not been successfully submitted (don’t forget to check your spam email folder when looking for the email).
